The morning started with the first 13 torch bearers meeting at the Amtrak depot downtown. |

Each bearer would be the only person in the world carrying the Olympic flame at that moment. |

The Olympic train pulled into the depot. |

The first runner lit his torch... |

...and started off through downtown Tucson. |
|

A few of the Tucson Sk8 Club and Phoenix Predators members who came to watch Ed carry the torch. |

Waiting for Ed to arrive. |

Ed was the 10th torchbearer in Tucson. This was his starting point. |

A slightly proud BladeMom (recovering from knee surgery) |

One of the Olympic vans that dropped off and picked up the runners. |

Ed, waiting for the torch. |

And here it comes, torchbearer 9 with the runners' assistant. |

Getting ready for the flame. |

The passing of the flame. (And the passing of the assistant in front of the camera.) |

Another view. |

OK, can't let this pass without a hug. |

There WILL be a hug! |

And a little smooch. |

At last! Ed takes the torch. |

...and holds it high! |

Always something getting in front of the camera. |

Moving right along. |
 |

Here they come. |

Another shot of Diana. |

There goes Ed. |

And now passing the flame to runner 11. |

The Olympic rep will remove the gas cannister. |

Some closeups of the torch. |
